My name is Erika and this blog started out as something to share with friends and family, but now that I have over 40 followers comprised of random people on the internet I’ve decided a little introduction is necessary.
I’m a 3rd year Honours Biology student who normally studies in Eastern Canada but am taking this school year (Sept-June) to study abroad in Wales. I hail from Western Canada so you can really say I’m all over the map, but I prefer it that way. I’ve found that you appreciate home so much more once you’ve left. My current home of North Wales is really a fluke; to be honest I didn’t care where I studied for the year. As long as the school I went to had my Biology program, I left it in the hands of my university’s exchange office.
I’ve always wanted to start a blog but never really had a starting point or direction. Since deciding to study abroad for my third year of University, I figured this would be a more than perfect opportunity to share my life experiences over the next nine months with family and friends while keeping track of my experiences and observations I find here.
I (obviously) love travel and I believe that life begins at the end of your comfort zone. I love science, good books, fitness, running, food, and everything in between; I’m easily pleased which is why I figure I love travelling so much.
I’m a dreamer and realist, the percentage of each varies day by day. I think love is all you need but then there’s that little voice that says Oxygen is at the top of the list; it’s what makes love possible.
